Spring is just around the corner and the lovely ladies of softball have been working hard to prepare for the moment they wait for all year.
For awhile now they have been scrimmaging other high schools to get a “feel” for how they each play when they are on the field. Not only do these girls have to work hard individually, they also have to work hard as a group. They are the perfect example of the idea that there is no “I” in the word “team”. Although the team ranges from seniors to freshmen, nothing stands in their way of determination.
“This season is going to turn out really good. I think we should take it all this year,” said Berlynne De La Mora, freshman.
Several other girls agreed. “This season is going to go great because we have an awesome team. Our defense as well as our offense is strong and our team has chemistry on top of great talent,” said Jaime Bejarano, junior.
“I think this season is going to go great. Not only have we been practicing hard, but we have an amazing bond that will help us throughout the season,” said Ashley Gonzales, senior.
Alexis Garcia, senior, said “I think we have a strong team and I expect to take first place in league this year. We have a lot of talent and drive with this group of young athletes. “
“This season we are looking stronger than ever. Our team chemistry is the best it has ever been, and we have brought strong freshmen on board. We’ve been showing great teamwork and execution in our pre-season scrimmages. We are all anxious for the season to start. It is going to be one great season,” said Mariah Midyette, senior.
